Our technological expertise creates a more sustainable future for us all.**Position Summary**Execute material planning for purchased components in alignment with the production plan requirements. Utilize MRP to effectively communication schedules and purchase orders to suppliers, follow-up with suppliers daily, manage inventory levels to ensure consistent flow of materials, and provide daily updates to the production planning/master scheduling teams.**Responsibilities****Material Procurement**:- Generate and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers, ensuring timely delivery according to agreed lead times.- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance jointly with the Sourcing team.- Participate in regular supplier visits and audits to strengthen the supply base and solve delivery issues.- Analyze MRP data to plan material requirements aligned with production schedules.**Inventory Control & Optimization**:- Continuously evaluate inventory levels and align with the inventory reduction program to avoid overstock or shortages.- Maintain control systems for material flow, including KANBAN, MRP, JIT, PFEP, and Consigned Inventory.- Support new product introductions and product line transfers by executing system transactions and planning material availability.- Monitor standard inventory quantities and ensure alignment with plant targets.- Perform excess and obsolete inventory analysis and lead preventive actions.- Ensure accurate and timely materials flow from suppliers to the shop floor, in alignment with internal procedures.**Customer Service Support**:- Maintain effective communication with Customer Service to support customer order fulfillment and expedite orders when needed.- Ensure production plans are aligned with customer priorities and delivery commitments.**Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement**:- Follow and help develop procedures aligned with the Quality Management System (QMS).- Serve as internal auditor of the SAC (Sistema de Administración de Calidad).- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives based on Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., VSM, 5S, standard work, waste elimination).**Qualifications****Qualifications**- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Operations/Production Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.- APICS CPIM certification desirable- At least 2 years of Experience in a similar position- Wide knowledge of MRP systems, Materials Planning & Inventory Management- Bilingual English/Spanish- Proficient in MS Office /Excel, able to develop spread sheets**Language Tags
