We are revolutionizing the way the world moves for future generations, and we want someone who is ready to move with us.Who will you be working with ?The Customer Quality Specialist reports directly to the Fleet Program Manager of the account and supports all reliability and quality initiatives to drive improvements on KPI’s.How will you make a difference ?The Customer Quality Specialist will own and drive delivery on commitments for assigned fleet reliability as well as specific contractual obligations for customers.What will your typical day look like ?Manage technical support/activity across all sites.Develop implementation plans for field modification programsDrive investigations to determine root cause and create preventive reliability and quality projects.Implement reliability initiatives assuring quality and safety compliance.Maintain appropriate communication with internal and external customers.Maintain/update and communicate new or modifications to operation procedures.Lead reliability initiatives of moderate scope and impactMaintain project scorecards for tracking outcomes and implementation.Liaise with customer and service teams to implement field tests and to drive solutions implementationAssist customer and service teams in implementing projects, troubleshooting project issues and obtaining feedback on the technology being tested.Identify opportunities for new projects or improvements to existing projects.Continuously embed discoveries/learning back into other business functions and project teamsYou may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.What do we want to know about you ?Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (Or Associate’s Degree in Technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of professional work)Minimum of 5 years of locomotive/shop experienceWillingness and ability to work in shop environmentAbility to travel in Mexico & USTD Level 1 certificationAbility to coordinate several projects simultaneouslyEffective problem identification and solution skillsDesired Characteristics:TD Level 2 certificationStrong data analytics and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with positive persuasive attitudeStrong quantitative and analytical skills and expertise required in Excel, PowerPoint, and AccessDemonstrated background of building collaborative relationshipsAbility to anticipate, identify, and resolve reliability problems.What about the physical demands of the job?High understanding of safety awareness and a strong safety culture.Wearing all required personal protective gear (hardhat, steel toe boots, ear plugs, eye protection) periodically.Typing and operating a computer.Experienced in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power Bi, Word, Power Automate)Experience in Oracle/SAP or other inventory control systemsWorking late shifts and ability to work weekends periodically.Ability to travel 15% of the time.You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.Who are we?- Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail as well as the mining, marine, and industrial markets.
