Strategic Finance & Accounting Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Strategic Finance and Accounting Consultant. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising businesses on optimal accounting practices, managing the books for small to medium-sized clients, and utilizing financial modeling techniques to drive informed decision-making. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks is essential for success in this role.

Job Functions
  • Provide expert advice to clients on best accounting practices and financial strategies.
  • Assess client needs and develop tailored financial solutions to optimize their accounting processes.
  • Manage and maintain the books for assigned clients reporting under cash or accrual basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Includes preparing journal entries, asset depreciation schedules, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and reconciliation of bank statements.
  • Perform regular reconciliations and financial reviews to identify and address discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement.
Software Proficiency
  • Utilize advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks to streamline financial processes and create insightful presentations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in accounting software to enhance service delivery.
Client Communication
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients through clear and effective communication.
  • Present financial information in a comprehensible manner, fostering client understanding and confidence.
Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports for clients.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience is required.
  • Previous experience as a Financial Analyst.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in accounting consulting or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks.
  • Great English level both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling techniques and principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Located in Latin America or the Caribbean.
Conditions

Schedule:

  • 9am to 5pm EST Monday - Friday

Locally remote only

Position is 100% remote, but candidates must reside in South America.
