Senior Linux System Software Engineer

Software Architecture Technology Group (SATG) enables Intel's vision for software and advanced technology by delivering open and secure software platforms, driving industry standards, and ensuring that software is powerful competitive differentiator for Intel. Withing SATG, System Software Architecture (SSA) team is responsible for enabling Intel's broad portfolio of products and technologies across Linux ecosystem partners to drive adoption and support via Operating System Vendors (OSVs) and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). This work involves co-engineering with Linux community and Operating System Vendors.**As a Senior Software Engineer, the primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:- The software engineer collaborates with architects and engineers, across cross-functional teams, to deliver an OS Vendor consumable solution for Intel technology adoption.- Self-Starter with growth-oriented mindset who is interested in learning new technologies and making them usable.- Willing to work and navigate across multiple organizations within Intel and external partners.- Experience analyzing complex systems and data, provide insights and drive solution.- Excellent problem solving and communication skills with stakeholders.**Qualifications**:**Minimum Qualifications**Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position:- Master's degree with 1+ years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering or any other related field.- 3+ years of experience working with developing Operating System software leveraging opensource technologies and languages.- 3+ years of experience with source control (e.g., git) to integrate software in various stages of development (e.g., backport, debug).- Intermediate to Advanced English level.- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Experience contributing to Linux vendor products (e.g., RHEL, SLES, Ubuntu) and/or working with associated Open-Source Linux communities (e.g., Fedora, Debian, etc.)- Experience with building and packaging software for downstream use.- Flexibility working with a wide range of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Go, etc.- Familiar with CI/CD flows for systems (github, gitlab, Jenkins, etc.) and modern QA practices/infrastructure.- Experience working with and debugging unstable hardware, identify system level issues (firmware, hardware, or OS).- Experience working on containerized environment like Docker/Kubernetes.**Inside this Business Group**:Enable amazing computing experiences with Intel Software continues to shape the way people think about computing - across CPU, GPU, and FPGA architectures.
