This role is ideal for individuals eager to expand their skill set and take on challenging projects and enhance our cloud business. Network and Cloud infrastructure is a critical component of our operations and serve as the backbone of our service delivery.**Where you will make an impact**- Participating in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage- Work with CI and CD tools using GitOps methodologies to manage an enterprise level cloud environment- Track and report work using Jira and other company wide tooling for project updates- Design and implement scalable, high-performance network infrastructure tailored to the needs of a cloud environment- Ensure the reliability and security of network and cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving network and cloud issues- Manage and optimize IPsec VPNs for secure data transmission, ensuring comprehensive protection and compliance with industry standards- Monitor network health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure continuous availability across all services- Oversee Load Balancer, DNS and SSL Certificate configurations across a large-scale enterprise- Work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate network and cloud services to improve system architecture and user experiences- Stay updated with the latest in cloud networking technologies and trends, advocating for and implementing improvements that enhance our competitive edge**What will you bring**- The tenacity to delve to the root of issues quickly, understand why they happened, and prevent them in the future.- Experience in network engineering, including direct experience with FortiGate (or equivalent) Firewall appliances and IPsec VPN configuration- Knowledge in the use of load balancing for scalability and redundancy- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, DNS, routing protocols, and security practices within a cloud environment- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced agile environment- Proven experience collaborating with cross functional global and remote teams with diverse backgrounds.- Strong verbal and written skills, excellent customer service, as well as high attention to detail.- B.S (Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent experience.- 1+ years of experience with AWS platform or equivalent cloud experience.- Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed.- Solid team player.- Strong communication skills**Nice to have**- Cloud Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Equivalent Azure or GCP certification- Certification in Fortinet technology (NSE 4 or higher).- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments- Experience writing up wiki how to documents for internal team members- Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Python, or bash- Experience working with CI/CD toolingWhat makes #Ellucianlife:- Comprehensive health coverage: family major medical expenses, dental and life insurance.- Christmas bonus 30 days- Saving fund- Monthly food coupon- 15 workdays vacation- Thrive Flex Program that allows you to contribute towards your health, financial or learning interests- 5 charitable days to support the community that supports us- Diversity and inclusion programs that promote employee resource groups such as: Women in Technology, Pride and Go Green to name a few.- Parental leave- Employee referral bonuses to encourage the addition of great new people to the team- We Foster a learning culture with:- Tuition Reimbursement Assistance- Professional development opportunitiesLI-RB1LI-Hybrid
