We operate mostly remote, with key offices in Bogotá, Medellín and Mexico City.**Summary**:Platzi seeks a Head of Design with a clear design philosophy and a strong curiosity about the human perception of design. You will lead, build and create scalable design systems.**Requirements**:**Description**:As Head of Design, you’ll oversee visual and product designers, ensuring cohesive, strategic, and high-quality output. You’ll guide the team to develop solutions grounded in purpose and process, focusing on the why and how behind each decision. This role requires both technical skill in scalable systems and the ability to inspire and cultivate clarity and creativity. Close collaboration with product and marketing teams will be key to aligning design with business goals.**Qualifications**:- 5+ years of experience leading design teams (visual and product designers) demonstrating expertise in brand identity, product design, and the process behind achieving design outcomes.- Strong ability to communicate and justify design decisions, we want to understand what drives and inspires your work.- Experience building and managing design systems and guiding teams in implementing them.- A scientific approach to design—curiosity and exploration in understanding how people perceive and experience design.- Proven track record of creating design solutions that balance creativity and functionality, especially in digital product development.- Experience collaborating with product and marketing teams, ensuring that design aligns with business objectives and stakeholder needs.- Fluent in English and Spanish.**Benefits****Hardware**:With Platzi's help, you will have 100% of the necessary work tools such as a laptop, smartphone, desk, ergonomic chair, monitor, and other accessories.**Books**:We provide you with all the books you need to grow professionally on Kindle, and we give you the Kindle too.**Maternity/Paternity Leave**:At Platzi, we believe in gender equity and the importance of parents in the upbringing and care of their children.
