**SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.**This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit located in Cd Juarez Mexico.**Summary (About this Position)**:North America Buyer Support for Supply Chain Management. The Buyer Support is responsible to assist in the execution of the category strategies and coordinate, facilitate communication between different areas and suppliers by working closely with the Category Buyer.**Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities)**:- Obtain RFQ response from suppliers- Issue contracts accurately, on time and according to procedure.- Ensure supplier has most accurate information regarding purchase order (price, lead time, std. pack, part numbers) before request approvals- Facilitate communication between suppliers and various groups.- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis- Support other Buyers as requested**Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves)**:- English proficiency is a must (80%).- Basic understanding of supply chain procedures- Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and (desired) industry standard purchase order software platforms- Computer Skills- Written and Oral Communication- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create reports and conduct cost analyses**Your Preferred Background (i.e. Nice to Haves)**:- Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering.- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently.Aptiv is an equal employment opportunity employer.
