**Principal Dealer (Interest Rates and FX)**The Bank for International Settlements is hiring for a Principal Dealer, in Mexico City.***By joining Mexico team you will**:- Help fulfil our mission of offering interest rate and derivative banking products to our global partners- Contribute to the formulation of a comprehensive and harmonised pricing policy across products and currencies- Cooperate with central banks in the region and hedge positions with commercial counterparties in accordance with risk guidelines- Have a daily, global exposure to our colleagues from other locations, as well as customers- Be joining an international organisation promoting global monetary and financial stability, and a bank for central banks- Have the opportunity to work with an international, dynamic team of financial market professionals from a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences- Be provided with detailed onboarding and support from experienced colleagues.**Principal Accountabilities**:The position supports the money market, fixed income, foreign exchange, gold and derivative dealing activities in the Mexico City’s dealing room. The principal tasks are:- working in close co-operation with a number of teams based in Basel and Hong Kong- assisting in the pricing, trading, hedging and development of BIS instruments, both in the short and medium terms, and supporting the liquidity management of balance sheet- assisting in developing the asset/credit book by researching, pricing and investing in a range of assets for the BIS’s own book during North America’s trading hours- assisting in providing foreign exchange and gold services to customers and driving related trades on behalf of the BIS and its clients- providing quick and accurate pricing in relation to all of the above- hedging and taking positions in line with limits and BIS policies- reconciling P&L for the Bank’s books- contributing to the development of new products on the asset and liability side- observing financial markets and analysing market trends, political and economic indicators and countries’ financial and monetary policies- establishing and maintaining contacts with commercial banks in the Americas.**Qualifications, skills and experience**:- Strong knowledge of a broad range of products in all major financial markets, with a focus on FX Swap and interest rates- Proven experience of dealing full range of treasury-related products- Experience in FX or gold trading- Knowledge of regional financial markets and their infrastructures- Fluent spoken and written English.
