Whether you are looking for an assembly position or a career in manufacturing management, you can thrive as a member of our team.EHS SPECIALIST**JOB SUMMARY**:EHS Specialist is responsible for managing environmental, health, and safety activities and provide technical guidance to improve workplace safety conditions and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Coordinate environmental, health, and safety activities through strong leadership and communication.- Coordinate and provide environmental health and safety training for team members.- Conduct new hire orientation provide environmental health safety training.- Investigate work related injuries and/or illnesses, provide statistical analysis, and assist in the development of effective health and safety countermeasures to continuously improve safety objectives.- Ensure legislative compliance with Federal, state and local regulations.- Lead the Safety Team and help to coordinate activities, recommendations, and accountability of issues identified by the team.- Conduct routine safety observation tours, with effective follow-up.- Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures, training, and practice drills.- Coordinate chemical awareness training and monitor on a continuous basis.- Environmental Responsibilities (as required) - ensure all environmental reports are submitted accurately and on time pertaining to areas such as: land; air; water and hazardous waste.- Manage pollution prevention program according to local regulations- Coordinate and manage hazardous waste program.- Coordinate recycling efforts of all recyclable scrap.- Serve as the ISO 14000 Management Representative.- All other duties as assigned.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:- Bachelor’s degree or technical certifications in related field preferred not required.- Experience: 3+ years’ experience in related field and/or automotive manufacturing environment.**TRAVEL**:- Travel Required: minimum**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:- Able to understand Environmental and Safety standards.- Good communication skills including a high level of competency in writing and speaking skills.- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with all team members.- Good organizational and administrative skills.- Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving and teamwork skills.- Open minded, willing to take responsibility, result oriented.- Microsoft Office tools experience.- Demonstrated use of data-based decision making and problem solving.**PURPOSE**:Building A Better EverythingWe build a better culture by putting people before profit, leading for purpose, passion and performance, and creating an environment devoted to an exceptional experience for our customers and people.
