In one sentence We’re hiring an Advanced Software Developer to build and enhance Digital One solutions. You’ll design and deliver microservices that are secure, highly performant, and scalable—working across the full SDLC with product experts, architects, QA, and DevOps. What will your job look like? Design & Development: Build cloud‑native microservices and REST APIs for Digital One features with clean, testable code. Performance Engineering: Profile services, optimise latency/throughput, and tune runtime (e.g., GC, thread pools, connection pools) to meet SLAs. Security by Design: Implement authentication/authorisation (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT), input validation, secure secrets handling, and compliance with SDLC security gates. Reliability & Scalability: Apply resiliency patterns (circuit breakers, timeouts, retries), horizontal scaling, and efficient resource usage. Containerisation & Orchestration: Package services as Docker images and deploy/operate on Kubernetes (pods, services, ingress, HPA). CI/CD & DevOps: Integrate builds, tests, and scans into pipelines; support blue/green or canary deployments and observability (logs, metrics, traces). Quality & Testing: Write unit/integration tests; collaborate on contract tests and performance test scripts; fix defects quickly. Collaboration: Work closely with architects/product owners to refine requirements and deliver increments in agile sprints; perform code reviews and knowledge sharing. All you need is... Strong Java/Spring Boot (or equivalent JVM stack) for microservices; solid REST and JSON. Microservices architecture mastery: service decomposition, API design, versioning, idempotency, backward compatibility. Kubernetes & Docker: Hands‑on with pods, deployments, services, ingress, HPA; image build/scan/push. Performance optimisation: JVM tuning, SQL/NoSQL query optimisation, caching, async messaging (e.g., Kafka), and load testing practices. Security: Practical experience with OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, TLS, secure coding, dependency and container vulnerability scanning. Observability: Prometheus/Grafana (or similar), distributed tracing (e.g., OpenTelemetry), log aggregation. CI/CD: Git‑based workflow, pipelines (e.g., Jenkins/GitHub Actions), artifact repositories, automated testing. Datastores: Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases; schema and index design for performance. Nice‑to‑Have Knowledge of Digital One domain (catalog, ordering, commerce, customer journeys) and Catalog One integration. Experience with API gateways, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), and policy enforcement. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and infrastructure‑as‑code (Helm/Terraform). Exposure to security testing (SAST/DAST), performance tools (JMeter/k6), and feature toggles /config management.
