ING Bank Romania is an universal bank with more than 1.8 million customers from three business segments: individuals (retail), SME and Mid-Corporate companies and Wholesale Banking.Join usMission:Credit Risk Policy Lead is overall responsible for managing credit risk related to retail lending activity.This role involves a high level of seniority and autonomy, project management as well stakeholder management.Your Day to Day- Responsible to develop the end-to-end credit risk policy related to retail lending, starting from loan acceptance, portfolio management (monitoring, restructuring, collections), coordination of bad debt recovery, including through write-off.- Ensures local policies are in line with Group and local regulations (NBR) and supports the decision process according to assigned governance.- Actively involved in lending products development and review, throughout the entire lifetime of the loan.- Monitors the risk profile of credit portfolios and its evolution in time, evaluates results and highlights conclusions and potential remediation actions.- In cooperation with other colleagues, defines the need for data, portfolio monitoring analytics or any other specific zoom-in in descriptive or predictive form, in order to properly assess the quality and evolution of the credit portfolio plus the corresponding potential actions.- Evaluates the risk impact of each major decision related to credit products and processes, bringing dedicated expertise as part of Credit Risk involvement into projects & activities undertaken by the lending tribes.- Is responsible to define and monitor the correct implementation of the credit risk policy standards at process, procedures and system level.- Works in close collaboration with Business & Operational departments in order to ensure efficient and accurate processing of credit exposures, including data collection and checks.- Validates and controls operational activities in the areas of monitoring, restructuring and recovery performed by Collections departments, and coordinates the debt recovery actions through external 3rd parties (court bailiffs, insolvency practitioners).What you bring to the team- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, banking or other related domain, statistical knowledge represents a plus in the context of standardization and portfolio level.- Previous experience in retail lending for private individuals and/or retail companies, min 3 years in risk or product development area.- Fundamental understanding of credit risk management, capacity to relate and interpret statistics and mathematical instruments used for managing and monitoring of the credit portfolio.- Understand properly the banking industry.- Knowledge of lending market developments (private individuals and/or retail companies) and influencing factors, good understanding of banking rules and regulations, products and services, operations and workflows concepts, desirably also requirements under Basel and CRR.- Strong ability to effectively use MS Office and main internal systems related to lending activity (Profile, Credit Platform);- Good writing, editing, communications and organizational, especially in view of agile and new WOW.- Fluent in English, both written and verbally.- Ability to use presentation skills, graphs, charts, and other tools to display data in a clear and concise way to support conclusions.- Keen on learning and developing within a credit risk environment.What we offer- Impactful work in a fun and collaborative environment.- Open-concept offices designed for both teamwork and relaxation.- Corporate events and social gatherings- Hybrid way of working with flexible working schedule and short week options.- Monthly budget on Benefit platform.- Extra annual leave days depending on the total length of working experience.- Growth opportunities through upskilling/ reskil
