**Become an EXpert as a Lead Android Developer**:At EX Squared LATAM, we help global brands transform their operations through innovative digital solutions. We're currently seeking a **Lead Android Developer** based in LATAM to join a long-term digital initiative for a premium international client in the automotive space.This is a great opportunity to shape the mobile experience for a widely recognized brand, collaborating with a distributed team of engineers, architects, designers, and product specialists.**What You'll Do**:As Lead Android Developer, you'll take ownership of the Android development lifecycle—from architecture to deployment—while mentoring a team and ensuring technical excellence:- Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers in a collaborative, high-performance environment- Design modern, scalable, and responsive app architectures- Develop and maintain intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces- Implement robust navigation flows and optimize apps across screen sizes and resolutions- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL)- Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing and debugging- Follow Android development best practices and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies- Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, UI/UX, Product) to deliver reliable solutions**What You'll Bring**:We're looking for a highly skilled and proactive Android expert who can lead by example and drive technical quality:- 7+ years of experience with the Android SDK and diverse screen sizes- Advanced skills in **Java and/or Kotlin**, Android Jetpack, and architecture patterns like **MVVM, MVP, or MVI**- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, performance tuning, and accessibility (ideally WCAG 2.2)- Experience with **Docker**, **Git**, and continuous integration tools- Hands-on expertise with testing frameworks (e.g., **Mockito, Espresso, Robolectric**)- Familiarity with **push notifications**, **offline storage**, and **cloud messaging APIs**- Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle and continuous delivery- Strong collaboration and communication skills- Previous experience working in **Agile teams** and mentoring junior developers- Proficient in English (C1 level)**Nice to Have**:- Experience with iOS development (Swift) or cross-platform tools (React Native, Flutter)- Exposure to functional programming principles**Why Join EX Squared?**:At EX Squared LATAM, we collaborate with industry leaders to build impactful digital products while fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and learning.
