Our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames and sunglasses and one of the current fastest growing companies worldwide. Our client’s portfolio includes some of the most loved - and most trusted - vision care and eyewear brands in the world. They have requested us to search for a Slotting/Capacity Manager for their Distribution Center opening in Tijuana B.C.**GENERAL FUNCTION**The Slotting Manager - Supply Chain will be responsible for slotting strategy (product placement) and execution in the Tijuana Distribution Center (DC). The Slotting Manager - Supply Chain will determine the best placement of products in the DC to deliver products to our customers at desired service level while enabling high productivity to keep the costs low. In doing so, the Slotting Manager - Supply Chain will perform analytics on current product placement from time to time, collaborate with internal departments such as forecasting and planning, operations, business systems/IT, and engineering for receiving inputs and identifying improvement opportunities (projects) and finalize the slotting plan for the DC.**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**- Overall oversight on storage capacity and product placement- Maintain a long-term storage capacity planning template to identify constraints if any (Units, Stock Keeping Units - SKUs, Cubic Volume etc.)- Perform slotting assignment analysis for SKUs from time to time- Monitor stock in transit and under receiving to optimize the put-away strategy.- Develop and update Key performance indicators (KPIs) related to stock rotation and saturation of the bins- Monitor the stock coverage in the active picking area and manage the replenishment process- Manage the housekeeping process to maintain the upkeep of the DC- Troubleshoot and resolve errors resulting from day-to-day operations from time to time- Recognize trends, present improvement ideas to the senior leadership and make recommendations for process improvements.- Develop annual plan for improvement initiatives and execute slotting projects as per project plans- Build and leverage relationships with functional leaders and collaborate with internal business partners to deliver optimal capacity solutions.- Create appropriate presentation material for various business reviews, including KPI reviews- Serve as the main point of contact and liaison between operations, planning and forecasting.**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**- Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering)- 5+ years’ experience in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or similar environment- Able to gather, manipulate, & interpret data from different sources, solve problems, & establish priorities- Strong verbal & written communication skills, in addition to strong presentation ability- Project management and communication skills (verbal, written)- Problem solving skills, proven ability to identify and resolve problems- Well organized, self-motivated, ability to adhere to deadlines & multi-task- Strong analytical & mathematical skills - able to extract conclusions from available data- Highly organized and process oriented with an ability to excel in a fast paced environment- Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint- Expert in advanced analytics (example: Access, VBA, Power Query, Alteryx, coding macros)**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**- Prior Planning/Slotting knowledge- SAP & planning systems experience
