Work will include research, evaluation, design, testing, and implementation of new or improved RDBMS, ETL and database tools.**Job Requirements**Job duties are varied and complex requiring independent judgment. May have project lead role at times in addition to individual contributor role responsibilities including status reporting to management. A BS or BA in related fields or equal experience is required. Minimum of 5-7 years overall experience in a technical role as an Oracle Core and Middleware DBA. Cloud Technical experience with Database and Applications migrations is strongly preferred. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written and the ability to build rapport with team members and clients.**Additional Details****Responsibilities**:- Implementing solutions to meet performance and business continuity requirements.- Administrating software and tools in accordance with requirements.- Administrating and installing Oracle Database or Oracle Applications Suites.- Conducting performance optimization to ensure SLAs are met.- Evaluating, monitoring and maintaining the Oracle Database and Middleware suites.- Working to ensure that software security and integrity are maintained.- Developing and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of specific Oracle products and services.- Oracle Cloud Certifications are a plus- Oracle Certified Database Professional a plusAccountabilities:- Institute operational procedures to ensure operating environment meets SLAs.- Ensure the database architecture can meet ongoing growth needs.- Proactively maintain knowledge of Oracle’s current and future products/ solutions offerings.- Generate the relevant delivery material, e.g., documents, engagement summaries, white papers, in order to develop and share knowledge with the contact center team.Skills/Experience- 5 years+ experience of Oracle Database technology as a DBA, preferably in a cloud environment- 3 years+ experience of Oracle Middleware (Weblogic Server, SOA, Oracle Identity Management) as a DBA, including System Administration role.- Strong knowledge of Oracle database 12c, 18c, 19c, RAC performance tuning on Linux with container and pluggable databases- Oracle Data Guard, Goldengate, Streams replications experience- SQL/PLSQL performance tuning experience desirable using AWR reports and other tools- Maximum/High availability and disaster recovery requirements- Working knowledge of networking concepts and design- Server consolidation and DB re-platform exposure- Expertise working with Oracle Container and Pluggable Databases- Data Pump Export/Import, Database migration/cloning, RMAN experience- Database security (VPD, TDE, DB Vault) implementation- System infrastructure knowledge, understanding of Linux (OEL) preferable- Proficient with automation of maintenance tasks using PL/SQL and scripting tools such as shell script, Perl, or Python.
