The Opportunity:


This role is to provide support for the Purchasing of Indirect materials, Services and Capital items for In Market Operations. This includes issuing Capital & Expense Purchase Orders and receiving invoices. This role also interacts with suppliers and contractors to manage the flow of purchase payment instructions and change orders.


Your Impact:


As Buffer SC Indirect Purchasing Analyst L6 your functions would consist of:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of Purchasing systems and processes.
  • Create capital and other goods and services (OG&S) purchase orders and receive invoices for capital projects.
  • Interact with suppliers and contractors to manage flow of purchase payment instructions and change orders.
  • Maintain and distribute purchase order packages to appropriate field personnel and authorized agents.
  • Resolve purchase order and receipt of goods and services discrepancies.
  • Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of the SAP, Oracle and Ariba purchasing systems.
  • Provide training to new managers on purchasing policies and procedures, as needed.
Qualifications:

Who Are We Looking For?


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering or similar field preferred.

Experience:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Procurement process knowledge required.
  • Capital project, construction, accounting, or purchasing experience helpful.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management.
  • Purchasing systems knowledge (Oracle, Ariba, SAP).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Solid computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
