The Senior QA Automation Test Engineer will play a critical role in testing applications in an automated fashion for Lab49 clients. Working in a collaborative and innovative project team, with direct client-facing interactions, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and expertise to create automated testing capabilities for applications that solve business problems and enhance performance for the clients. Key Responsibilities: Designing and building advanced testing capabilities for applications across platforms, understanding our products from both a technical and business perspective. Communicating with leadership, product owners, other technologists, and users to create effective testing software based on business and technical priorities. Building scalable Test Automation Frameworks utilizing industry-leading tools like Playwright and Robot Framework. Working with data sources and APIs to build a solid Test Data Management Strategy and utilities. Assisting development teams in improving testing efficiency and identifying non-compliance with requirements, including edge cases, usability, and reliability. Working with development engineers to track down defects and enable shift-left testing strategies. Actively contributing to improving software quality prior to distribution to clients. Advocating for test-driven development and behavior-driven test automation to deliver high-quality testing capabilities. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 9+ years of hands-on automated testing experience. Hands-on experience with Playwright. Experience working with REST APIs for backend automated testing. Experience working in an Agile environment. Working knowledge of general development landscapes, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies. Preferred Skills and Experience: Hands-on coding experience in Java. Experience with React Testing Library and Vitest. Experience with Robot Framework.
