The Fund Analyst will oversee the day-to-day administration of the Fund’s portfolio companies, leading in BID Capital’s smart money strategies, whereby we accompany our partners to ensure they are hitting their growth and profit targets, and lend assistance as necessary. The successful applicant will be a deeply structured individual, with great analytic abilities, as well as a multitasker.Fund Analyst Responsibilities:- Supervise the correct implementation of business plans for the individual companies in the portfolio with a specific focus on driving long term value.- Oversee the operations of active investments and coordinate with the companies’ management teams to carry out in-depth analysis of financial and operational data and implement course-correction actions as needed.- Create reports, compile data, and perform analysis of current investments’ performance to identify areas of opportunity and anticipate problems before they develop.- Correction, update, and maintenance of financial models, including analysis of financial statements to identify potential cash flow problems.- Prepare internal quarterly portfolio reports detailing performance, exposures, concentrations, and other qualitative characteristics to evaluate and monitor the ongoing performance of the investments.- Participate in Investment Committee activities; provide supporting materials for decision-making.Qualities:- Bachelor’s degree at a top rate university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related.- 1-2 years of experience in asset management for a financial services company, quantitative background with experience in financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, valuations, and financial analysis and auditing.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.- Outstanding work ethic, ability to work independently, and sound judgement.- Strong interpersonal skills, as well as both written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with efficiency; strong attention to detail.- Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards.- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
