We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of **Software Engineering****Role Purpose**:To provide production support, ensuring the quality, continuity, and, where appropriate, the resilience of the service, and offering optimal recovery times in the event of any disruption.**Main Activities**:- Provide support in the identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service.- Provide support on weekends and holidays according to the needs of the service and the established on-call role within the department.- Assume new duties as new needs arise within the service.Requirements- Extensive knowledge of AS400, ILE CL, SQL, and IFS.- Review of COBOL code to identify causes of errors reported in incidents and possible solutions.- Review of logs to identify causes of errors reported in incidents and possible solutions.- Interest in investigating, responding to, and resolving incidents.- Interest in learning new technologies.- Positive attitude and willingness to take on new roles and work as part of a team.- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment, according to the needs of the service.- Clear understanding of English and ability to be understood.**Competencies**:- Proactive- Strong analytical thinking- Effective Communication- High attention to detail- EnglishAt HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of leave days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.
