Ensure successful coordination and leadership of Purchasing department to assure proper launching of Electric Vehicles / Assembly Projects, with the highest quality, efficiency and punctuality in the Purchasing activities for NA, in collaboration with the cross functional roles.**Main Responsibilities**- Lead Project Purchasing activities on EV programs to pursue new business, manage new launches development, implementation and comply with program milestones and KPI's.- Lead, track and maintain components sourcing, launch and implementation throughout PPAP approval per part number on time, in collaboration with SQA & Product Engineering towards feasible components, at quality and cost, while implementing lessons learned towards our electrification venture.- Lead Purchasing interactions & categories for agile analysis, quotation and development of components for Assembly Projects, collaborating with Cost Engineering, New Programs and Operations areas.- Manage and control costs of components per business targets while pursuing supplier efficiencies and process improvements- Execute assigned category strategies- Ensure customer requirements are met to support production demands- Support sustainable strategies in procurement- Foster and maintain communication with Core Team to secure alignment of engineering levels, components cost targets and business profitability.- Promote and maintain clear communication of status, risks and opportunities on each program with Management, Plant Managers, Core team and Key Suppliers executives on local, regional or global basis.**Position Requirements**- Negotiations based on Cost Breakdowns- Manufacturing understanding of sub-tier processes: Extrusions, Stampings, Forging, Machining, Heat treatment, E-Coating, etc.- Basic components assembly understanding- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is desired- Project management & Commercial know-how- Capable of developing executive relationships with suppliers management- Experience of Quality systems & APQP- Fluent with Microsoft Office. SAP Experience preferred- Advanced English- Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in similar position.- Experience in managing & developing multi-component bill of materials- Knowledge of purchased components sourcing, development and PPAP.- Technical or operational background is required.- At Nemak, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (D&I) play a fundamental role in everything we do and are the underlying platform on which our culture is built.
