Laboratory Technician

Assemble, adapt, and operate test setups for clients, ensuring optimal execution and accurate evaluations based on instructions from engineering department.- Examine simple customer samples, interpret blueprints and schematics, and follow test plans to assess performance. Document and communicate results effectively in detailed reports.- Operate designated machines (climate chambers, universal machines) and special laboratory equipment (micrometer, multimeter, optical comparator, vernier), perform routine maintenance, and may assist with basic calibrations.- Communicate with clients to align testing methods, results and/or setups with their needs if necessary.- Propose new equipment designs and solutions for test challenges, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.- Accurately record and report data on appropriate UL forms to engineering department, offering insights and interpretations as guided by laboratory management.- Follow local protocols, policies, guidelines, and standards for EH&S and Quality.- May perform other duties as directed.- Bachelor’s or Technical Degree in Engineering (electrical, electromechanical, electronics, materials, telecommunications, etc.)- Previous laboratory experience (desirable)Intermediate EnglishLI-SP1LI-OnsiteA global leader in applied safety science, UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS) transforms safety, security and sustainability challenges into opportunities for customers in more than 110 countries.
