Applications management involves overseeing the lifecycle of software applications, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver value effectively.
We are looking for an individual who is willing to build professional relationships with key stakeholders within the company, with the ability to understand complex problems and focus on the best solutions according to the business needs. You will be exposed to a variety of challenges, from technical solutions and design to improving service delivery from an end-to-end perspective.
Responsibilities- The Senior DevOps Engineer assists the team in developing the design and specifications based on project requirements for multiple products in the Products and Software Development (P&SD) portfolio.
- Understand the client’s business objectives and timelines by establishing a regular cadence with the project sponsor.
- Develop a high-level architecture that can be rolled out globally by the client.
- Work with the team to help them develop the Terraform code to provision and manage the infrastructure and the CI/CD framework.
- Integrate the Terraform code with the CI/CD framework so all infrastructure changes are delivered through the CI/CD framework.
- Assist the team in developing solutions and troubleshooting issues on an ad-hoc basis during normal US East coast timezone.
- Builds and manages cloud services and related software, specifically AWS.
- Coaches and mentors team members.
- May provide line management for junior and senior DevOps Engineers, including nurturing talent, skills progression, managing performance and building team cohesiveness and engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree level or holds a relevant professional qualification, i.e., Bachelor of IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering.
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles and best practices, and demonstrated ability and openness to working in an agile environment as part of a scrum team.
- Collaborative attitude and the ability to work well with others to achieve a common goal.
- The ability to take the initiative and drive for results.
- Possess strong troubleshooting capabilities and capable critical thinking skills and attitude.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Team leader experience on previous projects.
- Demonstrated training and/or applied experience as coach and/or mentor.
- IaC: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
- Configuration management: Ansible, PowerShell DSC.
- Scripting language in (one, or more of): Bash, PowerShell, Python.
- SCM: GitHub, Bitbucket.
- Web and application servers: IIS, NGINX, Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat.
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins.
- Service and Support: ServiceNow, Jira.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
