Descripción y detalle de las actividadesThe Buyer manages expenditure for materials and/or services to support the company’s purchasing function including responsibilities for source selection for direct/indirect materials, fixed assets and tooling consistent with company strategy, procedures and metrics for cost, supplier quality, OTD, inventory and risk mitigation for the effective procurement of materials and services for TransPak (USA/Mexico) needs. The Buyer works across geographic boundaries to deliver maximum value to internal customers. This role reports to the Global Commodity Manager - Packaging.1. Supplier Quality- Support supplier quality metrics such as OTD and reject rate- Develop and foster relationships with suppliers to ensure adherence to specifications and required standards2. Procurement- Work with the Global Procurement Team to support internal procedures and execute purchasing and supplier strategies- Perform tactical purchasing using an ERP system while optimizing inventory based upon current and future demand- Ensure materials are delivered at the lowest possible costs without compromising quality- Liaise with counterparts in other functional areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure alignment of activities and objectives- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency- Manage and maintain orders to ensure accuracy on due dates, acknowledgments, price conciliation, etc.- Supplier Risk Management- Understand and communicate market trends and potential supplier risks to management- Work with design group to ensure accuracy of specifications- Support supplier/customer audits as needed by Commodity ManagerExperiência y requisitos- 1-5 years managing suppliers in quality, procurement and risk mitigation- Solid working knowledge of procurement practices and supplier management- Four year college degree preferred- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills- Innovative approach to problem solving- Clear professional communication both internally and externally to the company- Ability to work closely within a team environment while assuming ownership of responsibilities- Minimal travel may be required- Excellent MS Office skills, ERP experience is a plus- Experience with packaging is a plusBeneficios- Beneficios de acuerdo a la LFT**Número de vacantes** 1**Área** Compras**Contrato** Permanente**Modalidad** Home office**Turno** Diurno**Jornada** Tiempo Completo**Estudios** Carrera con título profesional**Inglés**Hablado: Avanzado, Escrito: Avanzado**Disponibilidad p. viajar** Si
