Taking a practitioner-first approach in everything we do makes it possible for health and wellness practitioners to devote more time to their clients while they use SimplePractice to start, grow, and maintain a successful private practice.**The Role****Responsibilities**:- Manage end-to-end semi-monthly payroll processing for employees, ensuring compliance with local regulations.- Liaise with a third party payroll processor.- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for monthly and year-end close.- Calculate and process payroll-related taxes and accounting accruals, employee benefits, and government contributions (IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR, etc.).- Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and filings to SAT, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and other local authorities.- Partner with HR and finance to ensure accuracy of payroll inputs, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.- Support audits and inspections from local authorities (SAT, STPS, etc.) and external auditors.- Lead continuous improvements to payroll processes and system functionality.- Maintain detailed payroll records and ensure compliance with data protection and labor confidentiality requirements.**Desired Skills & Experience**:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.- 5+ years of payroll experience in Mexico, preferably in a senior or lead role.- Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law, tax regulations, and social security requirements.- Experience with payroll software, ERP systems (Netsuite), and HCM (Workday).- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Workplace, and accounting systems.- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.- Experience in multinational or fast-paced environments is a strong plus.**Benefits**We offer a competitive benefits program including:- Privatized Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage- Work From Home stipend- Flexible Time Off (FTO), wellbeing days, paid holidays, and Summer Fridays- Monthly Meal Reimbursement- Holiday Bonus, 15-day Aguinaldo- Hybrid Work Schedule & Catered Lunch- Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)**California Job Applicant Privacy Notice
