Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accessibility Engineer to lead and embed accessibility across our digital products. This role is responsible for ensuring that web and application interfaces are usable by people with diverse abilities and comply with established accessibility standards and regulations. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in accessibility engineering, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to drive accessibility both at the implementation level and at the system and process level. This role partners closely with Engineering, QA, UX, and Product teams to ensure accessibility is built into solutions from design through delivery. Responsibilities Lead accessibility engineering efforts across web and application platforms to ensure inclusive and compliant user experiences. Perform accessibility audits and assessments against recognized standards (e.g., WCAG). Partner with frontend engineers to design and implement accessible components, patterns, and interaction behaviors. Work closely with UX and Product teams to ensure accessibility is considered during design and requirements definition. Define and maintain accessibility testing strategies, including manual and automated validation approaches. Support remediation of accessibility defects by providing technical guidance and code‑level recommendations. Embed accessibility checks into development and QA workflows to ensure continuous compliance. Advocate for accessibility best practices and promote accessibility awareness across teams. Review code and UI implementations to ensure correct use of semantic markup, focus management, and assistive technology compatibility. Contribute to documentation and standards that guide accessibility implementation at scale. Qualifications 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, quality engineering, or frontend engineering, with a strong focus on accessibility. Deep understanding of accessibility standards and regulations (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508). Strong experience with semantic HTML, ARIA roles, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility. Proven experience performing accessibility audits and accessibility‑driven test validation. Ability to provide technical remediation guidance to engineering teams at the code level. Experience collaborating with design, product, and engineering stakeholders to ensure accessibility is addressed early in the lifecycle. Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain accessibility concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. High attention to detail with a strong advocacy mindset for inclusive design. Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
