Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. We are hiring Python and Kubernetes Specialist Engineers focused on Data, AI/ML, and Analytics Solutions to build open source solutions for public cloud and private infrastructure. Responsibilities Develop understanding of the Linux stack, from kernel to application layer. Design, build, and maintain solutions on cloud and local environments. Work with distributed systems concepts like observability, identity, tracing. Collaborate on Kubernetes and open-source machine learning applications. Engage with a distributed team of engineers, designers, and product managers. Debug issues and participate in upstream and community interactions. Innovate and collaborate on solutions. Qualifications Experience with Python in professional or academic settings. Strong academic background. Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience. Effective communication skills in English. Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred). Interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, accountability. Ability to travel twice a year for company events. Desirable Skills Experience with machine learning libraries and tools. Building automated machine learning solutions in the cloud. Experience with container technologies (Docker, LXD, Kubernetes). Knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Open source project experience.
