We offer flexible paid time off- Great work deserves **recognition. **We have a robust recognition program, with ongoing and enhanced awards for exemplary performance.**How You Will Contribute**:Reporting to the Distribution Manager, as Specialist, Distribution, you will work with Direct Order Fulfillment (DOF), Scheduling, Logistics and Customer Operations to proactively execute the customer shipping plan. You will ensure on-time customer order fulfillment, order cycle time, inventory accuracy as well as operational efficiencies throughout distribution operations. You will also spearhead the development of proper strategies to effectively manage warehouse activities, such as, scheduling, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory cycle counts.- You will be accountable for the day-to-day management of the Direct Order Fulfillment (DOF) warehouse, ensuring the timelines of shipping plan and working with partners to secure resources for daily operations to facilitate on time delivery.- You will ensure the timeliness of the shipping plan, managing resources to accomplish the plan adequately, suggesting changes to workforce allocation to mitigate bottlenecks and maintaining efficiency levels.- You will engage in regular communication with the Scheduling and Fulfillment teams on delivery commitments, issues affecting orders, or schedule changes.- You will perform “what if” analysis and rough-cut capacity planning for potential opportunities to establish projected shipment dates.- You will proactively engage with IT relative to system issues impacting the shipping plan and DOF commitments.- You will manage the Receiving process by ensuring adequate communication with Logistics and DOF for inbound material.**What Does Ciena Expect of You?**- ** Initiative -** You’re a self-starter who works with limited direction, is committed to delivering against aggressive deadlines, and does whatever it takes to get the job done.- ** Relationship Builder -** you’re able to build trusted relationships quickly, allowing you to influence, negotiate and collaborate.- ** Agility **- you are readily able to manage competing and ever-changing priorities.- ** Communication expertise** - you have the ability to quickly understand requirements and tailor your message and ideas to the audience to ensure understanding and agreement.- The flexibility to **work independently** and as **part of a broader team** - you thrive in a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team environment, but are comfortable working independently as required.**The Must Haves**:- Degree/Diploma? coupled with proven experience in warehouse management, operations, order fulfillment and inventory control as well as MRP systems, preferably Oracle in a warehouse environment.- End-to-end warehouse process and direct order fulfillment knowledge capability to prioritize multiple tasks.- Fluency in English in Spanish.- Flexibility to work in different time zone to engage with Global peers and stakeholders.LI-SG**At Ciena, we are committed to building and fostering an environment in which our employees feel respected, valued, and heard.
