**Job Summary**:The **Logistics Specialist** is responsible for managing pickup activities and related processes, both before and after pickup—up to one hour post-departure. This role involves short-cycle tasks such as confirming carrier arrival times, performing check calls for arrivals and departures, and inputting shipment data. In addition, the role includes longer-cycle responsibilities such as analyzing compliance performance, ensuring information accuracy, and escalating issues related to carrier communication or system deviations.This position closely aligns with a Logistics Coordinator role but carries additional ownership over process monitoring and escalation.**Key Responsibilities**:- Confirm **Carrier ETA** at least **2 hours before pickup**.- Confirm **arrival check calls**.- Report **loading delays or issues**.- Update **trailer numbers** and **delivery notes** in system.- Stop departure from supplier when required.- Communicate **TONU** (Truck Ordered Not Used) situations through appropriate escalation channels.- Maintain real-time **shipment status** within **Optimiz**.- Identify and escalate deviations to **Operations** and **IT systems**.**Job Requirements**:- Proficiency with **Microsoft 365** tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, SharePoint, and Visio.- Experience with **ProTrans systems**: Optimize, BIAPPS, IT Client Portal, Cloud.Samsara, Insight.Skybitz.- ** Bilingual fluency** in **English and Spanish** (written and spoken).
