With general direction, The Service Support Associate will act as the primary liaison between customers, Premier Service Providers, Regional Machining Center site management and Final Control product engineers as needed.**Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities**:**Job Function****Duties**- Operational Support & Coordination- Responsible for emergency parts order execution and entry including price review, delivery, release and work scope/planning activities.- Works closely with operations team on scheduling of work and ensuring material sourcing plans support customer promise dates.- Ensures all processes from quote, purchase and final documentation are accurately captured for future reference. Requires a full understanding of the Quality Management System and processes.- May perform basic inventory transactions, including physical inventory processing, as instructed.- Supply Chain Activity- Transacts basic buying and planning responsibilities using AXIOM and Oracle systems.- Enters purchase orders handles transactional discussions to/with suppliers.- Understands MSDS guidelines and practices and applies them to customer orders and requests as executed.- Completes import and export compliance administrative paperwork.- Customer Service- Ability to facilitate technical question and answers between customers, valve technicians, Emerson engineering resources and other stakeholders.**Professional Degree Requirements**:- Basic education diploma required Associate’s degree or higher preferred, in relevant field**Experience Requirements**:- Minimum of 2 years relevant, industry related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience- Understanding or work experience with Fisher and Final Control products preferred.- Strong (English) communication skills both oral and written- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn proprietary systems- Ability to prioritize competing demands- Provide support outside normal working hours on various projects when necessary- Proven skills in data extraction, manipulation and presentation- Att ention to detail and critical thinking skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively**Technical Knowledge Requirements**:Experience with Emerson Flow Controls in a Buyer/Planner or CODT/CDDT position highly preferred.**Traits & Skills**:- Strong organizational skills- Strong interpersonal skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment- Demonstrated capability to think critically to problem solve- Strong attention to detail- Knowledge of machining theory, and how it applies to valve repair- Reading and understanding of machining drawings- Attention to detail and accuracy- Self-driven, proactive, dependable, and accountable Effective oral and written communication skills**Job Competencies**:- Communicates Effectively- Action Oriented- Drives Results- Customer Focus Collaborates**External Stakeholders**:Third Parties and service suppliers (indirect, agencies, etc.).**Internal Stakeholders**:- Functional Managers in the US.- Local functional leaders and managers in Mexico.- North America Service Organization team.- Regional Machining Centers.- Premier Service Providers**Work Environment / Conditions**- Closed office environment - manages confidential files and conversations.- Regular lighting and office ergonomics.
