We do this by offering a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible can afford them.We are determined to bring a little bit of Sweden to Mexico.**Descripción del empleo**The purpose of this job is to support the growth of Ikano Retail México by managing the tax reporting compliance process. This role involves collaborating with the finance team to ensure full compliance for Ikano companies through the maintenance of accurate accounting records, fulfilment of system requirements, and promotion of adherence to internal policies, procedures, and external legal obligations.**1. Documentation Review and Preparation**- Review invoices, receipts, and contracts to ensure VAT information is accurate.- Prepare supporting documentation for monthly VAT refund claims.- Verify that all VAT transactions are recorded and categorized correctly in the accounting system.- Ensure that the necessary documentation (e.g., purchase invoices, sales invoices, importation documents) is collected for all VAT transactions.**2. Transaction Verification**- Cross-check all transactions to ensure they meet legal and tax requirements for VAT recovery.- Identify and flag any discrepancies in VAT calculations or missed deductions.- Confirm that all VAT paid on expenses is eligible for refund according to tax laws.**3. Preparation of Monthly VAT Return**- Prepare and complete VAT return reports on a monthly basis, ensuring all VAT-related transactions are included.**4. Submission of VAT Claims**- Submit VAT refund claims to tax authorities on time and in accordance with legal deadlines.- Ensure that all supporting documentation is submitted with the claim for verification.- Keep track of the status of each VAT claim and follow up with tax authorities when necessary.**6. Liaising with Tax Authorities**- Communicate with tax authorities to clarify any queries or issues related to VAT refunds.- Coordinate with external auditors, if necessary, to validate VAT refund claims.- Handle any audits or investigations regarding VAT refunds, providing requested documentation and explanations.**7. Monitoring and Reporting**- Track and report on the status of VAT refund claims.- Prepare internal reports to management about the progress and any issues related to VAT recovery.- Regularly review and update VAT recovery processes to ensure efficiency.**Requisitos**- Degree in Accounting, with specialization or proved experience in tax management with min 5 years of experience in local tax context.- You are a natural leader with good leadership skills who can guide and provide coaching to the team, provide direction to navigate changes and able to implement new direction effectively.- A good team player who can partner well with key stakeholders and work collaborative as a team.- You are driven by IKEA business ideas, cultures and values.- Highly initiative and motivated on the development of new ways of working, with focus on simplicity.- Good command in English - both written and speaking- A strong problem solver who has the ability to challenge the norm.- Strong knowledge in SAT portal procedures**Información adicional**This position is based in **Mexico City** and offers a rare opportunity to be part of the establishment of IKEA in a whole new market.
