The Role

Dematic / KION is looking for an SAP ABAP Developer EDI Expert responsible for managing the Technical developments of the SAP Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing part or all the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design.
  • Analyzes business / functional requirements and prepares development project schedule, tasks, and estimates.
  • Performs technical design and documents technical specifications. Ensures compliance of developed solution to underlying solution architecture.
  • Develop Traditional ABAP WRICEFs using Object oriented ABAP Programming.
  • Responsible for development of EDI / IDOC Messages, Customizing message types.
  • Responsible for EDI design, development, and implementation, mapping and testing with a knowledge on Business Process and B2B Mapping, SAP IDOC based interface design and development.
  • Support application development efforts, unit testing, create technical specifications, conduct code review, create, and manage transports across SAP Systems.
  • Develop test plans and automated scripts to assure expected performance quality levels meet standards in development efforts.
  • Analyze root cause and provide solutions for production and development issues.
  • Responsible for developing inbound and outbound interfaces to/from the cloud to On-Premises and Cloud instances of SAP Products.
  • Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment.
  • Defining and implementing of interfaces to upstream and downstream systems.
  • Responsible for understanding various integration adapters in SAP to exchange messages between sender and receiver.
  • Monitor and present periodic status to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or similar field.
  • 5+ years of SAP experience as an SAP ABAP consultant and 2+ years of SAP S / 4HANA experience.
  • At least 2 SAP end-to-end implementation experience and at least one S / 4HANA Implementation / conversion experience.
  • Proficient with Traditional ABAP WRICEFs.
  • Experience in EDI design, development, and implementation, mapping and testing with a knowledge on Business Process and B2B Mapping.
  • Experience working with CDS, Adobe Forms, RF screen Programming, CDS views, APIs.
  • Able to discuss (within own area of expertise) requirements with a customer, and to challenge and clarify when appropriate.
  • From the requirements, able to develop a high-level design or plan, and then estimate the amount of effort required to deliver.
  • Able to advise the engagement owner about the risks associated with this work package.
  • Ability to conduct / lead oral status / technical interchange meetings with users on small to medium sized engagements.
  • Ability to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problem.
  • Knowledge of implementation project life cycles including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cut-over and go-live support.
  • Experience with global, large scale ERP implementations.
  • Proficient using Project Management tools (JIRA).
  • Strong communication skills (English required C1 / C2).
  • Resume / CV must be submitted in English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% internationally.
