TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.**What your background should look like**:Requires bachelor’s degree on engineering or appropriate field with 8-10 years of proven experience; Master’s degree is a plus; proven lean methodologies expertise as well six sigma knowledge / certification.**Responsibilities**- Gaining commitment from the key stakeholders by engaging them in all phases of continuous improvement initiatives; Analysing stakeholders’ feedback to identify further improvement opportunities.- Identifying potential areas that can be improved through various methods including lean methodologies, analysing cost structures and workflows, and value stream mapping.- Planning and managing continuous improvement projects and initiatives by defining project objectives and aligning them with business goals.- Researching and communicating continuous improvement best practices across the industry, promoting a continuous improvement mindset within the team.- Drive diversity and inclusion: Knowledge of individual differences and their value; ability to recognize and respect the value of individual difference and diverse perspectives at all levels of the organization.- Hold people accountable: Understanding the importance of taking personal responsibility; ability to take personal responsibility for assignments, decisions and results, and focus on activities that have the greatest impact on meeting work commitments- Managing Change: Knowledge of the necessity to adapt self and team to evolving business needs; ability to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives that improve the organization's performance in light of new requirements.- Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.- Collaborate across boundaries: Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures, think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results- Gemba Kaizen/Continuous Improvement: Knowledge of the concepts and principles of Gemba Kaizen methodology; ability to identify and eliminate manufacturing waste through iterative improvements to processes.- Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.- Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.**Competencies**:- Building Effective Teams- Motivating Others- Managing and Measuring Work- Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork- SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)
