GMC is the largest, single-location mushroom farm in the world, producing over 180 million pounds annually of the Agaricus bisporus varieties: White Button, Portabella, Cremini, and Shiitake mushrooms. Our operations span 3.7 million square feet of growing space across 6 farms and 468 indoor growing rooms, including several organically certified operations.**Essential Functions/Key Deliverables**- Conduct preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.- Perform basic diagnostics to identify issues and make necessary adjustments for safe and efficient operation.- Execute routine maintenance on heavy trucks, including inspections, oil changes, lubrication, and mechanical adjustments.- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues in trucks to ensure optimal performance.- Work with other technicians to perform preventative maintenance and repairs.- Collaborate closely with the transportation team to understand operational needs and schedule maintenance efficiently.- Ensure proper and accurate documentation of all maintenance performed, completing reports in writing and electronically.- Keep detailed records of all truck repairs and maintenance activities.- Perform safety inspections of equipment and document the work.- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures.- Adhere to all safety and occupational health regulations applicable to transportation operations.**Knowledge/Skills/Experience**- Proven experience as a diesel technician or in a similar role.- Solid knowledge of heavy truck mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues efficiently.- Proficiency in using tools and diagnostic equipment.- Commitment to safety and quality standards.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.- Certification in heavy-duty truck mechanics or relevant technical training is preferred.**Minimum Required Education**- Diesel engine repair: 3 years (preferred)- Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (preferred)Pay: $400.00 - $500.00 per hour**Education**:- Associate (preferred)**Experience**:- medium and heavy equipment mechanic: 2 years (required)**Language**:- Spanish (preferred)- English (required)License/Certification:- PA Driver's License (required)- Motor Vehicle Inspection License (required)- Diesel Mechanic Certification (required)Work Location: In person
