In this critical role, you will balance hands-on technical work with project management responsibilities to drive the development and execution of our data-driven projects. Your expertise in both machine learning and optimization techniques will ensure the delivery of innovative and efficient solutions that meet our business objectives. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker who can oversee projects while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation.**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists in the development of machine learning models and optimization algorithms, ensuring both technical excellence and alignment with business goals.- Manage the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from problem definition and data collection to model development, evaluation, and deployment.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and IT, to define project scopes, set timelines, and deliver high-impact data science solutions.- Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, incorporating new technologies and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.- Communicate complex data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management, driving strategic decision-making based on rigorous analysis.**Qualifications****QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**- A Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data science role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management position.- Experience managing end-to-end data science projects, including stakeholder management and team leadership.- Proficiency in programming languages and tools used in data science (Python, SQL) and familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, capable of leading a team and interacting effectively with varied stakeholders.Tech Stack:- Python, SQL- Machine Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)- Optimization libraries (PuLP, Pyomo)- MS Azure- At Syneos Health, we believe in providing an environment and culture in which Our People can thrive, develop and advance.
