Worklife Center Interior Designer

We are hiring aWhat You Will Be Doing:A supporting level player who is developing their craft, professionalism, and working to understand the organizational context, focused on deepening, and widening their skillset. Works under immediate supervision and is responsible to offer support to other team members (they are usually not the owner of projects). Do job shadowing with more senior designers and with their guidance, responsible to develop designs, space planning, renderings, and technical installation details. Accountable for accurate project delivery, quality, and results.- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and other teams across the organization to help craft space solutions for the WorkLife Centers across North America- Work on the conceptual, schematic and development stages of design leveraging different platforms and resources to showcase the team’s POV.- Work in close collaboration with the Materiality designer to propose inspiring and regionally curated finishes- Develop installation drawings and documentation to hand-off for ordering and on-site installation- Do in-person and virtual validation of installation in collaboration with Project Managers and installation crews- Build and handle presentations and graphic content that articulate a strong message and design intent.- Accountable for downloading, implementing, and passing the knowledge attained to both their daily functions and those of the design organizations.At Steelcase, we know that work matters and can provide people with a deep sense of purpose. We will continue to maintain this practice as part of our larger hybrid work strategy.- While flexibility varies by role and team, we support choice and control for our employees so they can choose the best place to do their best work.Who You Are:**Required Skills and Competencies**- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture- Applicable professional from 0-3 years of experience- Advanced English is a must.- US travel availability- Experience using graphic design tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)- Proven proactive behaviors towards teams and business needs- Shows creativity in implementing design tasks received from others- Developing skills for communicating rationale to team members and customers- Works under immediate supervision- Ability to give and receive thoughtful and constructive feedback to the design team- Basic understanding of design solutions, concepts, product ranges, Plays, libraries, project types and processes of interior design role- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
