We are hiring an**Interior Designer - Wood Applications** for our Wood product lines. Our team of designers are dedicated to designing solutions for leadership spaces including highly customized C Level suites.**What You Will Be Doing**As a Wood Applications Designer, you will be helping us to grow sales by offering specification support and creating a delightful experience for our partners—Steelcase field sales and our dealers. Your primary responsibilities include:- CET files, BOMs, PDF with renders, elevation, and plan views- Doing specification and technical checks for orders and mockups.- Communicating and collaborating with the Steelcase specials teams regarding specials - writing up special verbiage. On occasion, submitting special RFQs.- Communicating with field sales and dealers to schedule scoping calls, determine requested deliverable and timeline, and provide overall project updates.- Supporting internal teams such as Product Marketing and showroom teams with design support.- Populate completed projects on the shared Wood EXP Microsoft Teams site.- Participate in weekly team calls and share any learnings, tips and tricks, and challenges.- Develop and curate team resources - keeping the Wood Applications Library up to date.**Who You Are**:**Required Skills and Competencies**- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or Industrial Design.- 1+ years’ experience in similar roles.- Proficient in Architectural drawing and rendering software.- Advanced English is a must.**Preferred Skills and Competencies**- AutoCAD, Sketchup, and CET is a plus.- MS Office Environment proficient.**Why People Choose to Work With Us**:At Steelcase, we put people at the center of everything we do.
