In this role you must be aware of the economic and financial status of the corporate office, in charge of the Finance for Latin America legal entities in Hyatt Inclusive collection mainly Budget and Forecast process, Finance Reporting, Local, State and Federal taxes monitoring, Internal and External Audits, Internal Control, Policies and Procedures, Profitability analysis, SOX and PCI compliance, Cash Flow Management, and assessments. In charge of providing administrative support to the Regional Controller and Director of Finance Americas.**A successful Controller HIC Americas will**:- Validation of Federal and State taxes monthly.- You will be required to provide feedback to the Regional Controller on taxes calculation and filing.- Analyze and monitor the financial operation of the corporate office to achieve financial targets.- To ensure that month end closing is completed accurately, and reports are generated on time. (Income Statement). And variations properly explained.- Maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.- Provide accurate reconciliation of all Balance Sheet controls accounts with complete back up material for the controller´s review monthly. (Blackline).- Monitor all finance operations, working with other managers to ensure necessary adjustments are made to those operations.- Ensure that the division's work objectives are posted on the scoreboard and achieved.- Cash controls.- Prepare reviews and development plans and take appropriate personnel-related action (i.e., hire, commend, discipline, evaluate, etc.) with accounting staff as required.- Revenue controls (Invoicing, and new contracts additions)- Payment’s control.- Produce and supervise the annual budget.- Perform monthly forecasts.- Manage financial reporting and accounting procedures.- Explain the main variation on Budget and forecast.- Ensure the Management Fees Monthly billing (AR) completeness and timely submission to the hotels.- Supervise expenses and Distribution Fees invoices allocations to the Hotels**A successful Controller HIC Americas will have**:- MBA focused on Finance or Taxes.- University degree in accounting or finance preferred.- Three to five years previous experience in Finance accounting department head positions- Strong Time Management skills to meet deadlines and timely response.- Requires knowledge and ability to operate computer equipment.- Highest level of integrity and transparency- Reasonable problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills- Agile mindset- Knowledge of the current local, state, and federal tax legislation- Accounting.- Taxes.- Politics and Procedures.
