CoE LA Area Activities CoE LAC Migration and Upgrade Consultants are engineers who can perform highly specialized remote and onsite services for LAC overseas customers. Goal is to enable customers to implement and operate their SAP solutions at their maximum potential with optimal TCO and to manage their technical risks during solution implementation and operation. Responsibilities Provide first class remote and on-site support to customers, including solving technical problems, optimizing solution operation, improving system availability and stability, and onsite support in critical customer situations (going live, upgrade, etc.). Customer project evaluation and risk mitigation of implementation projects. Increase overall customer satisfaction. Act on escalated customers to restore normal operations. Work Experience (Requirements) Bachelor’s in computer science, mathematics, physics or similar required. Proven hands‑on experience leading and/or supporting SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations (brownfield/system conversion) and SAP system upgrades, Unicode conversions. Technical expertise in SAP Basis/SAP Technical Administration, SUM (Software Update Manager), DMO (Database Migration Option), and Maintenance Planner processes. Understanding of S/4HANA Readiness Check, simplification item list, and custom code remediation steps. Experience working in large-scale SAP landscapes with multiple environments (DEV, QA, PROD), preferred on hyperscale infrastructure. Skills Excellent analytical skills with a flair for detail. Effective problem‑solving skills to achieve customer satisfaction. Strong team player who learns and adapts quickly in an international environment. Flair for continuous self‑improvement. Willingness to travel on short notice, including short duration travels (one or two weeks) and travel time up to 20% of the time. Work well under pressure, critical situations, and extremely tight deadlines. Very high customer orientation. Language Skills English – Fluent in both spoken and written (mandatory).
