We believe everyone can jumpstart a new career, which is why we produce quality educational content and offer intensive courses in tech complete with full access to an interactive platform, code reviews, and support from industry practitioners._We are looking for a passionate **Curriculum Author** with experience in web development to join our team as a contractor. In this position, you will create and edit content for the Software Engineering program, including training materials, manuals, and documentation.**Requirements**:- Ability to collaborate in the Central European Time or Eastern Time- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JS, React.js, Node.js, REST API- Experience with Express.js, MongoDB- 2+ years of recent experience as a full-stack web developer- Time commitment: be able to devote 10 hours per week- Experience as a Technical Editor or Curriculum Developer is an advantage- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently**Nice to have**- Experience in teaching and/or creating educational content.- Familiarity with online education platforms and instructional design principles.- Interest in instructional design and education.What you will do:- Create and review training materials, including lessons, tasks, quizzes, and documentation for student projects- Consult on web development-related questions when creating new content- Collaborate closely with the instructional designer and other authors in formulating learning objectives for students- Integrate industry standards and best practices of web development into the program curriculumWhat we can offer you:- Hourly compensation of $35 / hour- Remote, part-time collaboration (**10 hours per week required**)- Get hands-on experience in an ed-tech environment (learning tools and the ins and outs of online education for adults)- Digital office.
