**Senior SQL Administrator (JOB-32856 )****About the client**:Shop more than 110,000 art supplies online, including the best selection of painting supplies, drawing supplies, and more.**-ROLE: Senior SQL Administrator**Senior SQL DBA role oversees all the databases and database servers in production and test environments to make sure they’re running efficiently on optimum performance. This role would also act as a gate keeper to our production environments. In addition, this role takes ownership of all DBA related tasks and provide direction to the rest of the dba team when needed.- Collaborating with other teams on future projects and associated db activities and plan accordingly.- Oversee monitoring activities on the website database and other DBs and establish performance baseline.- Oversee future expectations based on new projects and upcoming events and plan accordingly to meet those expectations.- Maintain and monitor SQL Server Databases while maximizing availability of critical business data.- Ensure proper DR and HA policies are in place and they’re practiced properly.- Oversee required actions to make sure all servers are patched, and the latest service pack has been applied to all the servers while maintaining an effective communication on Server Maintenance and build activities and issues.- Manage cloud databases including Azure SQL and AWS Redshift.- Study dba activities over time and propose how such activities can be automated, plan for their automation and monitor moving forward.**MUST HAVES**:- Minimum 4 yr. degree in Systems related field or equivalent experience as a DBA/Lead DBA- Strong knowledge in relational data management, SQL Server 2008 thru 2019 as well as Azure SQL. Other DB platforms like Redshift, Postgres, cosmos db and Oracle is a plus.- Strong experience and knowledge over TSQL and TSQL based objects.- Ability to identify slow running queries in and performance tune those queries.- Familiar with e-commerce UX performance monitoring tools and techniques.- Identify server’s hardware bottlenecks that could affect SQL Server’s performance.- Good working knowledge over SSIS and SSIS performance.- Manage security on SQL Server database servers.- Database design and architecture knowledge and experience.- SQL Replication between on prem SQL Servers and Azure.**NICE TO HAVES**- Microsoft SQL Server certification is a plus.- SSRS knowledge is a plus.**SOFT SKILLS**- Strong communication skills and willing to work in a team-oriented structure.- Willing to learn new technologies and new tools to better monitor/manage the environments.- Work with the rest of dba team to provide around the clock support.**OVERLAP**4 hours overlap with CST (GMT-6)**INTERVIEW PROCESS**1 hour technical + cultural interview**Requirements & Notes**:Location restriction: NA (4 hours overlap with CST (GMT-6)**Assessment path**: SQL DBA**Client Interview process**: 1 hour cultural/technical interview**Must have skills**- SQL- Microsoft SQL Server- Database Management**Nice to have skills**- PostgreSQLTipo de puesto: Tiempo completoSalario: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 al mesHorario:- Lunes a viernes- Turno de 8 horasPrestaciones:- Horarios flexibles- Trabajar desde casaLugar de trabajo: Empleo remoto
