Position Summary:_- CANDIDATE PROFILE_- Education and Experience:_- _High School or GED equivalent required_- _College (University) degree required in Communications, marketing, hospitality management, or related field- preferred_- _2+ years of work experience in Social Media / +1 year Social Media agency- Preferred_- _Must be fully proficient in written and spoken English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus), possess excellent communication skills, including writing skills and impeccable proofreading skills and outstanding grammar_- _Strong Copywriting skills, Basic graphic design & video editing skills, Basic photography & videography skills are a plus_- _Self-starter and ability to work independently - a must_- _Must be a team player and collaborate well with multiple stakeholders_- _Good working knowledge of key database systems and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)_- _Detail-oriented, creative, energetic, takes initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment_- _Able to effectively work independently or, at times, as part of a team._- _Good technical and project management skills; ability to handle many diverse projects simultaneously,_- _Consistently demonstrating high level of organizational skills: multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner_- CORE WORK ACTIVITIES_- The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:_- _Support social media strategies for assigned hotels and manage day to day social media activities on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, and/or other social channels for assigned hotels_- _Create monthly content calendars based on those strategies and manage the scheduling of content, troubleshooting, and publishing to all social media channels._- _Generate original content, including capturing photographs, writing copy’s, and performing basic graphic design and creative functions (e.g. simple video editing, creation of gifs, etc.)_- _Moderate assigned social pages and perform customer-service functions per company and industry best practices and standards_- _Ensure adherence to all brand, regional, company, and platform guidelines, policies, and procedures_- _Coordinate regularly with senior coordinators, account management, hotel social media champions and leadership, and social media knowledge experts to ensure adherence to best practices._- _In fewer opportunities, address concerns, answer questions, and educate hotel stakeholders about social media in general._- _Measure progress, interpret results, and report on social media KPIs. Create amplification plans for content with brand and regional teams_- _Stay up-to-date on industry and platform trends and best practices_- _Create social media ads on multiple social platforms, including the development of creative and copy, trafficking ads, measuring performance and ROI, and reporting on results._- _Use social media listening tools to identify trends, surprise and delight guests, engage with guests, source UGC, perform service recovery, and more._- _Be proficient in platforms such as Sprinklr, Facebook Business Manager, and others._- Computer Skills_- _Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software), enter data, or process information._- _Use computer systems and software packages to input, access, modify, store, or output information._- _Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel._- _Basic graphic design on Canva, video and photo editing._- Communication_- _Inform and/or update the account managers, supervisors, stakeholders, and peers on relevant information in a timely manner._- _Speak to stakeholders and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language._- _Talk with and listen to other employees to effectively exchange information._- Working with Others_- _Work with other people to gather the information necessary to manage projects, achieve goals, and resolve problems._- _Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect._- _Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments._- Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement_- _Maintain brand standards through all activations and programming_- _Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards._- Policies and Procedures_- _Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information._- _Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers._- _Follow company and department policies and procedures._- _Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors_- At Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
