Are you a strategic procurement leader ready to drive the process of excellence and transform our supply chain? As Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, you will drive our procurement lifecycle, leading initiatives that optimize our sourcing strategies across direct and indirect categories to manufacture our industry-leading Hot Spring Spas, Caldera Spas, Endless Pools, Freeflow Spas, and Fantasy Spas. This critical role will shape how Watkins Wellness sources raw materials, supplies, equipment, and services while creating significant value for our organization.

YOUR RIPPLE EFFECT

  • Are you a strategic sourcing visionary? You will lead and be accountable for our entire procurement approach, developing and executing strategies that enhance our competitive advantage. We expect you to drive process excellence across sourcing, supplier management, and management activities while aligning with our core business objectives.
  • Can you champion total cost productivity? As our TCP (Total Cost Productivity) leader, you'll track, analyze, and publish cost savings efforts. You'll develop and execute key performance indicators that optimize material costs, improve cash flow performance, and identify innovative supply solutions that drive our business growth.
  • Are you a global sourcing expert? You will oversee low-cost country sourcing, leading remote teams across Vista, Mexico, China, and India. Your responsibilities include managing global supply chain risk and ensuring we have strategic approaches to international procurement that minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
  • Can you drive technological transformation? You'll be accountable for implementing ERP and other systems that support procurement best practices. You'll provide central leadership to sourcing and procurement teams across Watkins Wellness, including Sauna360 and Endless Pools.
  • Are you an exceptional relationship builder? You will represent Watkins Wellness in Masco HQ leadership collaborations, initiate and nurture critical supplier relationships, and act as a key escalation point for supplier and strategic partner interactions.
  • Can you develop talent and processes? You will design and implement sourcing and procurement training programs, ensuring our teams and suppliers have the capabilities to scale and meet our customers' evolving needs.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in sourcing, supplier management, contract management, and project management.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Visio, and Projects.
  • Knowledge of modern ERP systems.
  • APICS CSCP or CPM certification preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to our Vista, CA, MX facilities and occasionally to our parent company, Masco’s facilities in MI. Job based in Mexico.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaking required, including writing and speaking effectively in both languages.
