Job Summary:**Position**: Cost Accountant**Key Responsibilities**:- Calculate product and component standard costs accurately and timely.- Prepare period-end inventory reports and related journal entries.- Ensure compliance with GAAP and external reporting requirements.- Maintain and update manufacturing standard cost systems.- Collaborate with accounting and other departments.**Essential Duties**:- Quarterly review and update material, labor, subcontract, and overhead costs.- Prepare impairment analysis and capitalization of freight and tariff spending.- Perform month-end close, including journal entries and inventory reconciliation.- Ensure QAD accounting data compliance- Maintain compliance with Internal Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley controls.- Respond to cost data requests and analyze labor and overhead spending.- Assist in annual multi-site physical inventory and support external audits.- Act as a resource for Operations on cost accounting and inventory valuation issues.**Competencies**:- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.- Ability to work in a team, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changes.- Demonstrated leadership, quality management, and business acumen.- Proficient in written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.- Effective in strategic thinking, planning, organizing, and innovation.**Qualifications**:- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Inventory or Cost Accountant.- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.- Experience with GAAP and non-GAAP standard cost systems.- Proficiency in ERP software (QAD Enterprise Edition preferred) and advanced MS Excel skills.- Knowledge of Internal Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.- Bilingual in Spanish/EnglishTipo de puesto: Tiempo completoSueldo: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 al mesTipo de jornada:- Turno de 8 horasEscolaridad:- Licenciatura terminada (Deseable)Experiência:- s an Inventory or Cost Accountant: 5 años (Deseable)- GAAP: 3 años (Deseable)- Internal Audit: 3 años (Deseable)Idioma:- Ingles Avanzado (Obligatorio)Lugar de trabajo: Empleo presencial
