As a Sr. COLOR SPECIALIST, you will ensure that the products released meet the color specifications according to the requirements established with the customer: color master, tolerances and specifications; under the standards of safety, cost and time.You will report to Sr. Process Engineer.**Key Responsibilities**- Perform color adjustments of materials in production process optimizing time and resources.- Align with internal color evaluation processes in strict agreement to established procedures and specifications.- Help develop new colors together with Technical Laboratory, and the timely follow-up to new color launches, until final customer approval.- Elaboration and fulfillment of verification, calibration, maintenance and R & R study programs for the area's equipment.- Visit customer's lines to conduct shade audits and agreements regarding color trends of materials.- Analyze first production batches manufactured with new formulations and reformulations through data analysis.- Identify actual and potential causes of product and process failure through the use of statistical tools to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of plant processes.- Promote new technologies for color evaluation, looking for improvement and optimization of color adjustments.**Qualifications**- Industrial Chemical Engineer, Chemical Engineer.- + 2 years of experience formulation, pigment properties and color matching of paints.- Experience with color measurement equipment (X-Rite, Byk Mac), color interpretation and color reading, pigment and aluminum handling.- Data analysis.- Intermediate English.**ABOUT US**:**PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD****The PPG Way**Every single day at PPG:**We partner with customers to create mutual value.**We are insightful, dedicated and proactive.
