As a COLOR SPECIALIST, you will ensure that the products released meet the color specifications according to the requirements established with the customer: color master, tolerances and specifications; under the standards of safety, cost and time.**Key Responsibilities**- Perform effective color adjustments of materials in production process optimizing time and resources.- Effectively align with internal color evaluation processes in strict alignment to established procedures and specifications.- Participate in the development of new colors in conjunction with Technical Laboratory, as well as the timely follow-up to new color launches, until final customer approval.- Elaboration and fulfillment of verification, calibration, maintenance and R & R study programs for the area's equipment.- Visit customer's lines to conduct shade audits and agreements regarding color trends of materials.- Analyze first production batches manufactured with new formulations and reformulations through data analysis.- Identify actual and potential causes of product and process failure through the use of statistical tools to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of plant processes.- Promote new technologies for color evaluation, seeking improvement and optimization of color adjustments.**Qualifications**- Industrial Chemical Engineer, Chemical Engineer.- Proven experience in formulation, pigment properties and color matching of paints.- Experience with color measurement equipment (X-Rite, Byk Mac, etc.), color interpretation and color reading, pigment and aluminum handling.- Data analysis.- Intermediate English.**ABOUT US**:**PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD****The PPG Way**Every single day at PPG:**We partner with customers to create mutual value.**We are insightful, dedicated and proactive.
