RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate product transfer activities other business units or organizations.- Maintain in depth knowledge of lean and manufacturing programs to eliminate production line bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Line balancing, setup reduction, higher yield and space optimization.- Work closely with Safety and Health departments to assure the production area, tooling and fixtures are designed ergonomically and safe.- Develop cost reduction ideas through process design, acquisition of tooling, capital equipment or documentation improvements- Continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.- Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.- Collaborate with the product development team to provide input on design for manufacturability (DFM) and cost reduction opportunities.- Supervise engineers, programmers, and technicians, who design or oversee plant machinery, develop projects, and oversee production processes.QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.- 8-10 years of experience in HVAC system manufacturing, with a solid understanding of the technology.- Proven leadership and management skills.- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.- Knowledge of quality control and lean manufacturing principles.- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is typically required.- Familiarity with manufacturing software, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, and Microsoft Office suite is often required for managing production data, scheduling, and reporting.- Master's degree or additional certifications in production management or quality control.- Excellent organizational and time management skills are important for managing production schedules, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating resources effectively.
