Financial Accountant, Mexico

**Key Duties**- Prepare finance reports for local and HQ teams, with a strong focus on the preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliation files—ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies. Maintain robust financial controls by identifying discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement of accounting processes.- Maintain consistent communication with third-party advisors, requesting necessary information for local and global reports via, at least, monthly engagement in line with the terms of the engagement letter. Provide timely and accurate financial information and support to facilitate effective collaboration and compliance, in line with reconciliations above.- Monitor and report on profitability across all business areas, including generator sales, parts, and service contracts. Utilising knowledge of profit and loss movements, financial trends in preparing and reporting regarding local and HQ budgets.- Understanding Import/Export process and tax requirements. Along Operations Manager, ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory and tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain compliance with local and international regulations by monitoring deadlines, preparing necessary documentation, and coordinating with external advisors and internal stakeholders.- Monitoring and recording all local financial transactions.- Processing, auditing, and requesting payments authorisations for all expenses, while administering local expenses system.- Verifying, recording, and processing incoming and outgoing invoices ensuring all payments are made/received in a timely fashion.
