Marketing Analyst

The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data on consumers and competitors. This role will study market conditions to examine potential sales of a product or service and help the organization understand what products people want, who will buy them, and at what price.General Responsibilities- Prepare reports on findings while illustrating data with graphs and translating complex results into written texts that are clear and understandable- Gather information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition- Evaluate target demographics, appropriate distribution channels and marketing outlets- Analyze marketing metrics to gauge pricing and identify cause and effect relationships- Collect and analyze data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand- Collaborate with marketing department to develop appropriate sales strategiesExperience / Qualifications- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customersCommercial Specialist (VBU)Sensata Technologies is looking for a strong individual to support the marketing activities for the Vehicle Business Unit (VBU) to drive strong growth in the assigned market segment.The Commercial Specialist will assist the VBU marketing team with data and insights into market value, pricing and profitability of products or solutions and will be responsible to maintain pricing in Sensata’s ERP tool. The cooperative position will lead an effort to drive market-based analytics using multiple, fragmented data sets and sources of information with the aim of creating insights that optimize product strategy and profitability.
