As a **PLANT DIRECTOR** you will, leads the operations, Quality and Supply Chain functions of the Automotive, Industrial & Packaging SBU in the Mexico Region.Most critically in the execution of his responsibilities will be his participation in and becoming an integral member of the American Coatings Operations Council and as such, will consistently collaborate closely with his counterparts in the region to ensure maximum efficiency and cross SBU alignments of the Operations assets in the overall North America & Latin America region.**Key Responsibilities**:- Optimization of materials, personnel and production capacities to achieve plant/production cell safety, operating and profit objectives.- Provide direction to and the establishment of automotive, industrial & Packaging coatings compliant production processes, equipment and workforce that meet OEM, Industrial & Packaging quality standards, delivery dates, and cost standards.- Building and maintaining the operating budgets for the areas under his responsibility and the development of the capital-spending plan to support growth and operational improvements.- Implementation of world-class operating standards that allow for increased flexibility of operation, safety, cost and quality, as well as maintaining the highest standards of customer service.- Establish an accurate work relationship, based on the ethics of the company, with the different actors: collaborators, suppliers, government, industrial associations.**Qualifications**:- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field plus a minimum of 7 years of direct coatings manufacturing experience.- Be able to interact effectively with the different cultures present in PPG and the highly matrixed management structure within the region.- Fluent english.**About us**:**PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD****The PPG Way**Every single day at PPG:**We partner with customers to create mutual value.**We are insightful, dedicated and proactive.
