**Job Description Summary**: This position is responsible for leading the continuous improvement strategies and activities of the site. Thefocus will be to lead, roll-out, and implement business wide programs to drive continuous improvement inSafety, Quality, Deliver, and Cost. This includes facilitating projects and Blitzes as well as assisting withactivities associated to the CI strategy and goals. He or She should promote a continuous learningenvironment to ensure for proper training, development, and the use of the methodologies. Executeresponsibilities with a large degree of autonomy requiring mínimal oversight by immediate supervisor. Mustengage and gain the support of associates in various positions of responsibility and in various functionswithin BD worldwide. This includes associates in these functions who occupy positions of authority that areequaled to, greater than or less than the incumbent. Incumbent must clearly communicate project plans andresource requirements to gain the support of these individuals. Deals with a wide variety of processesincluding assembly and inspection methods, packaging, and sterilization of which any combination mustmeet the integrated requirements of medical use, chemical / biological compatibility, manufacturability, andacceptable cost. Incumbent should represent BD when interfacing with external vendors / suppliers asprocesses are developed and raw materials and capital equipment is purchased. Must understand theoverall business strategy of assigned business and be able to structure the improvement strategy of the site- The CI Manager is the primary responsible of leading the continuous improvement initiatives for thesite.- Determine the optimal roll-out approach for the deployment at each site in collaboration with CI andsite leadership. Establish both short and long- term (6 months - 3 years) strategies andimplementation plans that will allow leveraging the program and Continuous improvement culture forsustained and long-term benefit. Also ensures that Best Practices from the BD network are adoptedand leveraged.- Collaborates with the Business and Plant leadership, to ensure programs/projects deliver onexpectations. Identify gaps and develops plans to mitigate any potential risks. Ensures alignmentwith corporate & business expectations on continuous improvement targets.- Working with site leaders and plant controllers, tracks and validates all improvements and dollarsavings (P&L impact, cost avoidance) attributed to the projects under the continuous improvementprogram. This includes incorporating the projects into plant budgets and maintaining/building afunnel of opportunities for the next 12-36 months.- Facilitates continuous improvement projects and blitz efforts (Kaizen events) across the site, asneeded. Engage business leaders to identify and utilize respective certified associates to assist inBlitz events.- Drives the CI Culture and the understanding and adoption of CI best practices within the site(includes, but is not limited to: LDMS, KAS, Blitz Events (Kaizen Events), Trainings, and Metrics).- Trains and sustains the workforce on continuous improvement methodologies, including championtraining materials, train project teams on the use of Lean Six Sigma and other tools such as ProcessOptimization, Value Stream Mapping, facilitates project teams and mentor new facilitators/trainers.- Works with external consultants as needed for specialized training of key plant personnel and thenfacilitates broader training by leveraging the initially trained personnel as “trainers.”**Primary Work Location**: MEX Juarez Healthcare**Additional Locations**:**Work Shift**:
