Degree in industrial hygiene, toxicology, life science, material science, engineering or related field.- 6+ years of experience in product safety compliance or quality assurance (Manufacturing or Retail)- Direct experience with REGIONAL consumer product regulations (e.g. PROFECO; SENACON, SERNAC) or WW References (CPSIA, FDA, FCC, FTC, EPA).- Experience in regulatory affairs related to product performance/validation- Experience interacting and engaging with Authorities.- Fluent proficiency in English.- Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements.- Demonstrated experience creating sustainable, scalable processes;- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Exceptional organizational skills- Ability to work independently and autonomously- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team, including adherence to core values and dynamic corporate culture.Job summaryOur vision for Product Safety is to support Amazon’s mission of offering the widest selection of products available, while protecting customers from potential safety risks and compliance requirements associated with product handling and management. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join as Product Safety team in Mexico to lead program expansion in LATAM. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly visible space and be part of a vibrant and fast-growing company.The position is responsible for supporting the Global Product Safety and Compliance program at Amazon, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory guidelines for our products. This position will focus on ensuring the safety and compliance of products in the LATAM region, by developing strategy, building new solutions and processes, and supporting the ongoing operations and investigations for the Global Product Safety and Compliance program. We are looking for a talented Product Safety Manager who has direct experience with global consumer product regulations to support our rapidly growing and evolving businesses.Key job responsibilities- Participate and conduct product safety risk analyses and define a compliance strategy with regional regulations.- Work directly with business partners, technical teams, and associated stakeholders to develop processes and associated documentation requirements- Review regulatory requirements and incorporate those requirements into the development of investigation processes.- Organize independent consultancy and regulatory reviews to validate safety compliance.- Design and perform trend analysis to identify and mitigate risk in high risk categories.- Continuously identify and communicate improvement opportunities.- Leverage technology to manage compliance processes.- Create and monitor business metrics to track compliance and process effectiveness.- Manage benchmarking studies against equivalent products.- Project management experience, leading multifunctional teams for project launches.- Masters Degree or MBA- Must be comfortable working with large data sets- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
